“Treasure on the Mountain”
Club fundraisers have varied and changed over the years. For many years the Club sold Christmas trees locally. Another larger fundraiser was a Horse Show that was very popular. It took place at Camp Pioneer near Beverly. For about 10 years the Club provided up to 1000 chicken dinners for the Old Timers’ Reunion at their camp in East Dailey. This private group meets every year with up to 2,000 campers. The TVLC has also served as a food vendor at the “Treasure on the Mountain” fundraiser of the Snowshoe Foundation.

Most recently our fundraisers have been fewer, but larger. The Club provides “The Great GiveAway” in June of each year. This large scale Elimination Dinner is a premier event provided to a select array of local business leaders, friends, and family. It is by invitation only. It is a fun, relaxed outdoor gathering that patrons look forward to each year. Patrons enjoy a day of drawings and raffles along with excellent food and adult beverages. A random drawdown leaves us with a grand prize winner for the event.

Our largest fundraiser is the Spring Rifle Rally. This event takes place at the Phil Gainer Center in Elkins. One thousand tickets are sold, and ticket holders are treated to a fast-paced day of gun raffles, table raffles, and lots of excellent food and beverage. Each ticket holder, whether present or not, has the chance to win one or more of 30 prizes on the ticket alone. This event has sold out for many years. BUY YOUR TICKETS HERE!

The Club has for many years done Flag Day presentations in our public elementary schools. We provide each First Grader with a small American flag, and Lions Members educate the children on the meaning of the Flag.
